This programme is designed for independent researchers who do not have a host organisation or project budget to cover a regular training fee. The programme fee is reimbursed on completion of the full programme. This is an outreach concept that facilitates your career development. The outreach activity consists of an expert webinar, a forum and a workshop using the IW-Global concept for knowledge exchange. You will have one session about how data-driven value creation supports the research and career.

Outreach and knowledge exchange

Many career opportunities come from network. The outreach is designed to grow your network based on the IW-Global concept by:
– delivering an expert webinar in your research topic
– hosting a forum with 1-2 experts that you find and invite
– chairing a workshop in your research area with invited speakers from your network
We will support to find invited speakers if necessary.

IW-Global provides a platform for researchers to interact with colleagues, professionals and other stakeholders around focused topics. Its Knowledge Exchange format is designed for close interaction. This supports community development, increase researchers’ professional visibility, expand their networks and open up new opportunities for next career steps.

Capacity building in data-driven value creation

You and the invited forum experts will have one session (90 minutes) introduction to how data-driven value creation supports the research and career.
The digital transition is no longer optional. Since researchers are already required to store data and will share it, this can be used to position their research and career progression.
The session introduces essentials about how shared data creates value, exploitation pathways, and relevant impact motivation. It covers how values can become assets which include exploitation and business models that fund post-project activities and show how research can have lasting impact, progress to higher technology readiness levels, and reach realistic commercialisation.

Programme period and gained experiences

The full programme consists of expert webinar, forum, workshop, and session on data-driven value creation. The programme normally runs for approximately three months.

Programme fee and reimbursement

The fee is 350 EUR and is reimbursed after completion of the workshop and the full programme. This model makes the programme accessible to independent researchers while recognising their contribution to the development of IW-Global knowledge exchange and platform visibility.
